Their sister was still out there but we couldn’t think of that. We returned to the pack and Donovan didn’t look very surprised. He handed over the metaphorical keys but the Black family had other ideas. They were taking a sabbatical and wanted him to rule in their stead until further notice.
There was no telling what this new unlikely alliance was going to lead to but I was going to be there every step of the way.
I already knew that I was pregnant. I took their hands and placed them on my stomach when we left the meeting to see their eyes light up like the fourth of July. There was going to be a new addition to the pack in nine months. Natalie would no doubt have something to say about it. We could weather anything together and I had a feeling we were going to find out. It wasn’t a typical happily ever after but life was never about tying everything up in a nice tight bow.
I was ready for a new chapter to be written with three men that were only voices until recently.
